A extended cruise through Australia is being halted in the wake of the fatal incident of an older lady who was abandoned by the ship on a isolated coastal location.

The elderly woman had been hiking on Lizard Island with other travelers from the vessel, but separated from the party for a rest. The vessel departed without her and returned several hours later after the crew became aware the lady was missing.

A major search operation discovered her remains the subsequent day.
